Marshall Price,
OWNER + sales

My name is Marshall Price, and I founded Gallery of Shades in 2008.

I moved to Scottsdale in 1978 with my family and have always loved the unique charm of the desert. I’ve been passionate about home improvement from an early age. When I turned 16, the things I wanted most for my birthday was a power drill. That set my first entrepreneurial adventure in motion. I started going to my neighbor’s homes to put in “peep” holes in their front doors to improve their home security. From that experience, I knew I wanted to run my own business. To pursue this dream, I decided to go to Arizona State University to get a degree in business. While in college, I started doing installations for a window covering company. After graduating, I decided to go out on my own to start my own window treatment company. Gallery of Shades is the result of everything I’ve learned after 25 years of serving customers and all of my expertise in the window covering industry. We are committed to providing customers with energy efficient, cost effective and attractive window covering solutions for their homes. I am as thrilled today to help my customers improve their homes as I was then, as a wiry teenager with a new drill.

Melissa Price,
OWNER + marketing director

My name is Melissa Price and I am the co-owner of Gallery of Shades.

I moved to Scottsdale in 1997 after completing my degree in Psychology at the University of Kansas. I then continued my education at Arizona State University in 2000. This is when I fell in love with Arizona and the majestic beauty that the desert offers. My career veered from the path I was on to a totally different industry. I became passionate about sales and marketing after school and this is where my story continued. After years in outside sales for a software company and then for the pharmaceutical industry, I knew I was ready to invest my energy closer to home. It was time to bring all I knew about customer satisfaction to the family business. I take it as my personal responsibility to uncover what is most important to our customers and do everything in our power to meet their needs.
